{"id":16700,"date":"2024-01-24T11:26:35","date_gmt":"2024-01-24T11:26:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsacom.com\/?post_type=paper&#038;p=16700"},"modified":"2024-01-24T11:26:35","modified_gmt":"2024-01-24T11:26:35","slug":"5g-ecosystem-january-2024-member-report","status":"publish","type":"paper","link":"https:\/\/gsacom.com\/paper\/5g-ecosystem-january-2024-member-report\/","title":{"rendered":"5G-Ecosystem January 2024 Member report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>5G-Ecosystem January 2024 Member report<\/p>\n<p>Between November and December 2023, the number of announced 5G devices picked up 3.5% to reach a total of 2,358 devices, with the proportion of commercially available devices now up to 83.2%.<\/p>\n<p>Summary statistics from the latest update on the 5G device ecosystem include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>28 announced form factors<\/li>\n<li>261 manufacturers with announced available or forthcoming 5G devices<\/li>\n<li>2,358 announced devices, of which at least 1,964 are understood to be commercially available<\/li>\n<li>1,098 announced devices with support for standalone 5G in sub-6 GHz bands, 904 of which are commercially available<\/li>\n<li>Fixed wireless access CPE represents 13.1% of announced 5G devices, as more manufacturers continue to roll out the technology<\/li>\n<li>Phones are the most prevalent 5G device, with the number of announced phones rising by 39% since the end of December 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The number of commercially available devices has been growing steadily since the start of the year and should continue in this manner.
